Which MP3 bitrate to pick
This MP3 converter offers two options because they answer different problems. MP3 320 is the quality choice: a four-minute track comes out at about 9.6 MB, measured on our own pipeline rather than calculated from the bitrate. MP3 128 is the size choice at about 3.8 MB for the same track — two and a half times smaller, which matters on a phone with no room left or a connection that charges by the megabyte.
For music, 320 is the safe default. For speech — podcasts, interviews, audiobooks — 128 is usually indistinguishable and worth the saving. Neither can exceed the source: the audio we find is already compressed, so 320 is a ceiling, not a promise of studio quality.
MP3 is the one format that plays everywhere without a question: car head units, cheap players, old phones, editing software. If you are not sure what will open the file, pick MP3. That is why an MP3 download is the default here and the other four formats are a deliberate choice.
How to download music from Spotify
- Open Spotify — the app, or open.spotify.com in a browser.
- Open the track, album, playlist or podcast you want.
- Tap the three dots next to the title.
- Tap Share, then Copy link.
- Come back here and press Paste.
- Choose a format — MP3 320 is already selected.
- Press Download. No captcha, no account, nothing to install.
- Wait: one track takes seconds, a playlist a few minutes.
- Take the file — or the whole ZIP. Tags and cover art are already inside.
Private playlists have to be made public in Spotify first, otherwise the link opens for nobody but you. Converted files are kept for 24 hours and then deleted.
What happens to the file after encoding
Encoding is not the last step. Title, artist, album and release year are written into the file as standard tags, and the cover art is fetched from Spotify and embedded, so the track arrives complete rather than as an untitled blob you have to label yourself.
Changing your mind is cheap. Convert the same link again in a different bitrate or format and the request is served without re-entering the queue, because a Spotify link to MP3 is keyed to the link itself rather than to your session. The box takes a plain address either way: as a URL to MP3 converter it does not care whether the link points at a track, an album or a playlist.
Finished files live on our servers for twenty-four hours and are then deleted, which is also what the privacy page promises. Nothing about you is stored alongside them — no account, no email, no history of what you converted.

Questions
Is this an MP3 converter or an MP3 downloader?
Both, and the difference matters less than the two words suggest. As an MP3 downloader it takes a link and hands back a file; as an MP3 converter it encodes that audio into MP3 320, MP3 128, M4A, FLAC or WAV. The same paste does either job — the format selector decides which, and you can download MP3 files at either bitrate without paying for anything.
Can I use it as a music downloader for a whole playlist?
Yes. A playlist or album link queues every position automatically, so as an MP3 music downloader it works on a set rather than on one song at a time. Finished tracks can be saved as they appear, and the whole set arrives as one ZIP at the end.
Should I choose MP3 320 or MP3 128?
For music, 320. For speech, 128 — a podcast episode at 128 kbps sounds the same to almost everyone and takes about 3.8 MB per four minutes instead of 9.6 MB. You can convert the same link again in the other bitrate and the file is re-served without going through the queue.
Will an MP3 from here play on my car stereo?
Yes. MP3 is the most widely supported audio format there is, and the files carry standard tags, so the title and artist show up on the display. If your head unit reads a USB stick, it will read these files.
Why are there no bitrates above 320?
Because there is nothing above it to give you. MP3 tops out at 320 kbps, and more importantly the audio we find is already compressed — re-encoding it at a higher bitrate would grow the file without adding anything you can hear.
Can I convert a whole playlist to MP3 at once?
Yes. Paste a playlist or album link and every track is queued automatically in the bitrate you picked. Progress is shown per song, finished ones can be saved immediately, and the whole set arrives as one ZIP at the end.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email and no limit on how many files you convert. Nothing about you is stored beyond a server log entry that is dropped within a day.
Is it free? Are there limits?
Free, with no daily cap and no queue for paying users, because there are no paying users. Very long playlists simply take longer — progress is shown per track.
Which formats are available?
MP3 at 320 or 128 kbps, M4A for Apple devices, and FLAC or WAV when you need lossless. Most converters in this niche offer MP3 only.
